Riviera adds to Sport Yacht collection with new 5400 model

New Zealanders will be pleased at the newest addition to the luxury motor yacht brand Riviera. The new Riveria 5400 showcases features to suit the conditions in and around the North and South Island bays and beyond.

The brand new design sets a new standard for luxury one-level living, cruising and entertaining in a 50 footer.

The model is already in the build stage and will be unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show February 11 to 15th, 2016.

Not only striking and sophisticated, the cutting edge craft excels as a Bluewater cruiser. The Riviera 5400 model is hailed as extremely safe, seaworthy and efficient using new technologies in power and manoeuvrability.

Kiwis will find total comfort in some of the 5400 new features that benefit boaters when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The Sport Yacht 5400 cockpit includes a double sun pad with adjustable backrests under an innovative folding Bimini, electric sliding sunroof over the alfresco area and a curved fiberglass hardtop in the cockpit to provide shelter from the extremities.

The Sport Yacht series is world renowned and highly awarded for its luxury indoor/outdoor space as the saloon, gourmet galley and cockpit blend seamlessly for cruising, live aboard or hosting friends or family.

Riviera chief executive Wes Moxey said that whilst retaining the brand’s hallmark luxury, technology and seaworthy capability, the design team adopted a completely fresh approach with the 5400.

“As you slide open the glass salon door, set in a stainless steel frame built into the rear bulkhead, you will immediately sense that the Riviera interior design team has created a luxurious yacht that is both welcoming and expansive, and designed to deliver all the delights of a lavish and contemporary life afloat,” said Mr Moxey.

“Sweeping, fixed and tinted hull windows on both sides of the master stateroom will draw in plenty of natural light while fresh air will be introduced through opening portholes alarmed to the helm in the event they are left open,” he said. “There will also be his and hers cedar-lined hanging lockers to both port and starboard with automatic lighting, as well as additional cabinetry to port and a private lounge to starboard.”

The 5400 Sport Yacht console will have excellent visibility and ergonomics benefiting owners with critical navigation electronics and comprehensive engine instrumentation.

All the controls are within easy reach of the Recaro electric adjusting helm seat and make Bluewater cruising much more comfortable and possible for the helmsman.

“Of course, this thoughtful consideration for our Riviera family of owners is another example of our ethos of doing all we can to help our valued owners achieve …the ultimate boating experience” he said.
